Conference 2008 - An International Conference of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
The British Acupuncture Council invites you to join us at our 2008 International Conference to be held at the Royal Holloway University (RHUL) in Egham, Surrey on 6 -7 September. For the first time we hope to play host to a truly global and diverse gathering of speakers and delegates.
Conference 2008 is the BAcC’s most expansive programme to date. With major, significant changes on the near horizon for the BAcC and its members, it is our hope that this will be an opportunity to share with our professional colleagues in the UK, Europe and across the globe, what the BAcC stands for. We hope it will be an opportunity to celebrate what unites us, forge links and share best practice. What better reason for coming together than our shared commitment to the study of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine?
RHUL is an ideal venue. It is situated at the hub of most forms of transport, has on-site parking and is only 20 minutes from Heathrow airport. Despite being so near to London, the historic buildings are set in beautiful, wooded grounds with a spacious rural feel. Weather-permitting, we plan to hold outdoor Qi Gong classes, guided walks and drinks receptions on the lawns to get maximum benefit from such stunning surroundings!
Throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday there will be multiple choice workshops and lectures on an extensive range of subjects, from practical to theoretical, and from personal development to practice management issues. Our eminent list of speakers will draw on insights from both traditional theory and modern research.
In addition, we will have wide range of Exhibitors for delegates to explore and stock up on new equipment.
And that’s not all.
As everyone knows, the real talk often happens in the ‘spaces’ between the scheduled events! To that end the 2008 Conference experience will include musical interludes and entertainment, early evening drinks receptions, full evening meals and plenty of day time breaks to forge new contacts and network with friends.
As an expression of our ongoing quest for excellence and commitment to inclusiveness, we really hope you will be able to join us for this landmark event – to be part of a new beginning, a new future together.
